February 7 & 9 – Digital Camera – How to use your digital pictures on your computer.

February 14 & 16 – Facebook – Setting up a facebook account and how to get around on this site.

February 21 & 23 – Microsoft Word – How to type a letter, How to set up a Header/Footer, Hose to use the Microsoft templates, How to print things like address labels, part templates, etc., and How to save your document for an older version of Word.

February 28 & March 1 – Q & A Class – This class is a Question & Answer session for the seniors to ask the teacher anything computer related they want. Questions will be limited to 5-7 minutes so everyone has a chance to ask something.

March 6 & 8 – I-pad, Tablet & Kindle – Class to show you how to use these items.

March 20, 22, 27, 29 April 3 & 5 – Beginner Computer Class – 6 weeks – Learning the very basic computer skills.

April 17 & 19 – E-Mail & Attachments – How to set up a new email account, How to limit SPAM, How to set filters to consolidate emails, What to look for in “phishing” emails, How to forward, reply and other task.

April 24 & 26 – Data or Picture Back-up Class- This class will show you how to save your pictures or data from your computers.

May 8 & 10 – Ebay & Paypal – This class will show you How to set up an Ebay account and Paypal account, How to find sellers with high feedback ratings, How to buy and sell efficiently on Ebay, How to create catchy advertising for an item, How to leave feedback, How to contact a seller/buyer & How to start a Paypal dispute if an item is not received in good condition.

May 15 & 17 – Internet Etiquette – This class will show you How to search efficiently using Google or Yahoo, What to look for when browsing the web, What do you do when you think you have received a virus, How to use forums to ask questions, Common websites for items like mapquest.com, Google maps, webmd.com, Kelly Blue Book, etc., How to purchase items online safely & How to stay away from scams.

Genealogy Class:

Class has been discontinued till further notice.
Come to the Senior Center on the 3rd Thursday of each month between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and join in with the creation of the New and Free Davison "Roots Magic"

Genealogy Society:

Our group is for the beginner to the advanced genealogist with time spent on Questions & Answers and involvement in the use of your or the Centers computers in your travels finding your family and roots. We have received many kind comments from participants and are developing a very interesting group. We welcome experienced Genealogists who would like to freely share their talents and tips for the less experienced members of our community.

“Penning the Past” Life Stories

Next class will start April 12, 2012 The First 100-page Book cost $15.00

"Penning the Past" is a class designed to help you write your life story. You will receive tips on how to recall moments in your past and how to put these recollections on paper in an interesting fashion. You will have a beautiful spiral bound book, complete with pictures when you are finished.
